AJUNIE VIRK is a video + new media artist based between Illinois and New York.

An alumni of Carnegie Mellon University (2023), the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (2023), and the Yale Norfolk School of Art (2022), she was recently an artist in residence at Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Center (2025), Bunker Projects (2025), and Brew House Arts (2024/25).

Previous projects have been supported by the Casey Droege Cultural Productions’s ARPA Support for Artists Grant, the Fund for Arts @ the Frontier Microgrant, the Anne Dowden Award, and the Samuel Rosenberg Awards. 

Most recently, her works have been presented at the Coaxial Art Foundation (LA), Roski Mateo Gallery (LA), and the Light Matters Festival (UT). 

She is currently developing a video essay about ghost fossils and her first mid-length animated film set to premiere in 2027...ish?
